Behind the scenes of getting the largest collection of African American quilts into a museum

We are thrilled to introduce a new series titled, "The Messy Work," which reveals the work that goes on before, behind, and beneath the clean, finished presentation of white gallery walls or the glossy pages of monographs.

For the first video in this series, KunstWorks' Alla Efimova convenes a conversation with Stephanie Boris, Registrar, and Jenny Hurth, Executor of the Eli Leon Estate, exploring what it takes to prepare the largest collection of African American quilts for a museum collection.
